The board of the RBSPS has the sad duty to announce you the passing away of our Honorary Member and former President (1995-1997), Dr. Christian-Charles Dupuis, on the 5th June 2021.
As from 1995 he was responsible for the Third World chapter of our society for several years. He worked in all the countries of South East Asia, intent on training local surgeons within their own health system, to operate on patients with burns and cleft lip and palates.
He acted as coordinator of the courses meant to teach the basics of Plastic Surgery to surgeons working in the Provincial Hospitals of Central Vietnam.
In 2002, Dr. Christian Dupuis started a new program in Laos to teach and operate.
He was the author of several articles on Humanitarian Missions in the Third World in PRS.
