Reporting advertising for aesthetic treatments by non-qualified persons.
Only physicians registered in Belgium are authorised to perform injections with botulinum toxin (e.g. Botox®) and dermal fillers. Advertising for, as well as performing, aesthetic treatments by non-qualified persons (such as foreign physicians, beauticians, physiotherapists, etc.) is illegal.
The Board of the RBSPS collects reports of advertising related to aesthetic treatments in order to alert the authorities to potential risks to patient safety. In cases of serious infringements, the RBSPS may also take legal action.
If you encounter such advertising (via newsletters, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, …), we kindly ask you to report it to us.
