The Sarasin Clinic in Ghent has recently issued false and misleading communications via social media, suggesting that nurses are authorized to perform aesthetic injections.
The injection of botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid by a nurse - even under medical supervision - constitutes an illegal act.
This is clearly defined in the Law of 23 May 2013 (FR/NL). Strict interpretation of the law was confirmed by lawyers of the VAS and the professional association of nurses.
The RBSPS is committed to raising awareness and ensuring these legal boundaries are respected. We are working closely with our legal counsel to address these violations.
Legal proceedings are currently underway against the Sarasin Clinic.
