On 07.02.2026, the election of the Treasurer and the Secretary-General of the FMS (former VBS-GBS) took place.
Dr. Jean Vanderick was unanimously elected as Treasurer for a four-year term.
Dr. Donald Claeys and Dr. Ben De Brucker were elected ex aequo as Secretary-General for a four-year term.
This shared mandate comes at an appropriate time given the many substantive and strategic dossiers that will require attention over the next four years.
Based on an agreed division of responsibilities, both will work together to defend the interests of all medical specialists and to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated transition.
The FMS and the two elected representatives are pleased with this solution, which brings together extensive knowledge and experience while representing all segments of the FMS.
